Technical Documentation Engineer Space

What will you be doing 

ALTEN UK is currently seeking a Technical Documentation Engineer to join one of our leading clients in the space sector. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented individual who enjoys working in a collaborative high-paced environment and contributing to cutting-edge space projects.

Your main responsibilities will be: 

• Develop and write clear concise and accurate technical documentation including detailed engineering acceptance reports.
• Gather compile and verify data from multiple internal sources to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate closely with engineering test preparation and quality teams to maintain technical integrity across all reports.
• Identify document and communicate discrepancies or issues within the data collection and reporting processes.
• Propose and implement workflow improvements to enhance data collection reporting efficiency and quality standards.
• Ensure all deliverables meet customer requirements and internal quality standards.

Qualifications :

Experience skills and qualifications required: 

• Bachelors degree (or higher) in Aerospace Engineering Mechanical Engineering Systems Engineering Physics or a related technical discipline.
• Proven experience in data analysis technical reporting or documentation within an engineering or high-technology environment.
• Experience with the engineering V- cycle including verification and validation.
• Excellent analytical writing and communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure fast-paced environment.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel Word and data management tools
• Experience in aerospace defence or space systems environments is highly desirable.
