As the Bell Captain youll lead the Porter and Valet team to deliver flawless service at every guest arrival and departure. Youll ensure luggage is handled efficiently and securely valet operations run smoothly and all team members are briefed and coordinated throughout the shift. Acting as a key point of contact for guests youll provide a warm welcome expert local knowledge and seamless support creating a truly memorable first impression of the hotel.
- Kick off each shift fully prepared by reviewing the daily log emails and run sheets.
- Keep the team informed of daily activities VIP arrivals special events and hotel priorities.
- Lead and coordinate Commissionaires Porters and Valets ensuring smooth operations throughout your shift.
- Deliver a warm welcome and farewell to every guest while assisting with luggage and valet services efficiently and professionally.
- Ensure all valet operations guest luggage and property movements are accurately recorded and managed.
- Maintain strong relationships with external partners including taxis car hire services and restaurants.
- Stay knowledgeable about Sydney to provide expert advice and recommendations to guests.
- Promote hotel services including restaurants bars and special experiences.
- Collaborate with all hotel departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
- Keep the Porters storeroom organized stocked and secure managing luggage storage safely and efficiently.
Qualifications :
- Experience in luxury hospitality or high-end customer service.
- Strong leadership skills managing Porters and Valets.
- Excellent communication and guest service skills.
- Organized proactive and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of valet operations luggage handling and hotel procedures.
- Impeccable presentation and professional demeanor.
- Flexible to work shifts weekends and public holidays.
- Knowledge of local attractions and events is a plus.
