Overview

Physical Therapists are movement experts who improve quality of life through hands-on care patient education and prescribed movement. Our Physical therapist work as a team with physical therapy assistants to treat people of all ages and this position with Presbyterians Outpatient rehabilitation department gives clinicians the opportunity to treat a variety of patients and the ability to work with a group of therapist that have a range in specialties. The Outpatient rehabilitation team is collaborative and patient-focused. We place a strong emphasis on providing orientation and mentorship in order to ensure the well-being and success of our new team members. Responsibilities

Evaluates patients develops plans and goals and implements treatment programs for improvement of physical or developmental dysfunction and independence in activities of daily living.

Continuously reassesses treatment plans and goals.

Educates and instructs regarding home programs and preventive measures as appropriate to patient family and others.

Prepares written documentation as required by the profession and the department in a timely manner.

Communicates with patient family physician and other healthcare providers regarding patient care.

Maintains established departmental policies and procedures objectives quality assurance program safety environmental and infection control standards.

Participates in educational programs and inservices and other meetings as required. Participates on special project teams and other related duties as assigned and requested

Qualifications

  • Less than one year of experience in physical therapy.
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Bachelors degree required.
  • Doctor of Physical Therapy Preferred.
  • NM License of Physical Therapy required.
  • BLS required at time of hire.
