Were seeking qualified Health Aides to support residential rehabilitation care in a VA setting-professionals who are compassionate technically proficient and ready to make a difference in the lives of veterans.
Deliver direct patient care in a residential rehabilitation setting
Assist with therapeutic and supportive tasks under the supervision of Physicians and clinical staff
Monitor and report changes in patient condition
Support patients with daily living activities including hygiene mobility and nutrition
Maintain accurate documentation and comply with VA protocols
Uphold the highest standards of patient dignity safety and confidentiality
Certification
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and/or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Education
High School Diploma required
Minimum two years of post-secondary education from an accredited institution
At least 12 semester hours in health sciences nursing behavioral science social science counseling teaching biological sciences or related fields
Experience
Minimum one (1) year of direct patient care experience in a rehabilitation treatment program
Demonstrated ability to assist clinical teams in therapeutic care delivery
Technical Proficiency
Fluent in English (spoken written and comprehension)
Proficient in computer systems and electronic health records (EHR)
Must provide verifiable documentation of education training and any gaps in educational history
Must comply with VA Medical Staff By-Laws and facility regulations
Resume Requirements
Current resume or CV with three (3) professional references including most recent supervisor
Documentation of relevant experience and certifications
Training
Completion of all VA-mandated training including:
BLS and/or ACLS
EHR systems
VA-specific mandatory education modules
Additional training may be required and communicated by the VA
