Your key responsibilities
As Global Expertise Lead for FM Product Control you deliver with your teams the reporting and control frameworks enabling processes and knowledge expertise for Financial Markets Product Control globally. Furthermore this role is key in delivering the strategic operating model for Product Control which will enable control and support of the Financial Markets business in realising its (long-term) ambitions.
The department consists of multiple expertise areas including financial reporting valuation (reporting) policies & frameworks controls and change projects & coordination.
You will lead the Expertise team for FM Product Control and will guide and motivate your staff to continuously improve the product control activities globally. You will work closely together with the management team members of Finance FM including the CFO FM and regional heads of FM Product Control and other key Finance stakeholders (Group Finance COO Finance local Finance). In addition you will work closely together with the Trading Risk Department (CRO/Financial Risk) on P&L Valuation and Market data topics and with change areas (COO Finance/Risk FMGT tribe FME programme) on Product Control related Change topics.
As Head of CoE FM Product Control you:
Participate in the Management Team for WB Finance / FM.
Oversee the monthly and quarterly financial and regulatory closing process covering amongst others FM financial reporting and valuation topics and GV&IC.
Provide specific analysis and advice on financial reporting valuation and other FM Product Control-related topics.
Participate in the Global FM Parameter Committee have oversight of the content preparation and ensure all valuation related risk and issues are highlighted and addressed.
Define and roll-out the frameworks policies and standards for Product Control Financial Markets.
Oversee and coordinate the SOX and controls processes for WB Finance / FM.
Initiate and support optimisation of Product Control delivery processes controls and standards.
Oversee and coordinate Product Control related change initiatives and projects set and manage Product Control functional requirements towards Risk COO FM Finance and other stakeholders.
Interact with internal and external auditors and supervisors.

As Head of CoE Product Control you also bring:
A masters degree in Finance or equivalent (e.g. Economics Accounting Auditing);
10 years of (managerial) experience in a (business) control risk management accounting and/or product control activities in Financial Markets and/or Treasury position;
The ability (proven track record) to implement a strategic direction;
Excellent (senior) stakeholder management and communication skills (verbal and written in English).
