Our Financial Services department is responsible for the financial administration and reporting for the various EMEA entities ensuring compliance with both local statutory requirements and corporate standards such as US GAAP and SOX.
Within this department the Accounting team plays a key role in ensuring accurate complete and timely financial reporting and consolidation for our EMEA group.
You will be responsible for maintaining reliable financial administrations managing period-end closings preparing statutory and group reports and ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
The internal name of this role is Accounting Specialist you will be working in Kruiningen at least 2 days a week.
Ensure the accuracy completeness and timeliness of the financial administration for assigned entities.
Perform month-end and year-end closings including intercompany reconciliations balance sheet reviews and correcting discrepancies.
Prepare statutory reports VAT customs and statistical filings in compliance with local regulations.
Contribute to the EMEA consolidation under both NL GAAP and US GAAP.
Safeguard SOX compliance through proper documentation reconciliations and journal entry approvals.
Coordinate and support annual audits with external auditors.
Support and mentor less experienced accounting team members.
Act as Key User for SAP ensuring optimal use of financial systems and contributing to change and improvement initiatives.
Provide insightful financial analyses on balance sheets P&L and cash flow forecasts.
Actively contribute to process improvements and automation projects within Financial Services.

Qualifications & Experience
Bachelors degree (HBO level) in Accounting Finance or Business Economics.
Proven experience in financial accounting preferably within an international environment.
Solid knowledge of Dutch GAAP and/or US GAAP; experience with SOX is a plus.
Experience with ERP systems preferably SAP.
Fluent in English and Dutch or willing to learutch and/or German is an advantage.
