What youll be doing

Youll be joining CIBCs Commercial Banking and Payments Technology team. Youll be at the heart of CIBCs digital transformation successfully delivering complex enterprise-scale mobile projects involving multiple back-end an Application Consultant youll assemble implement and maintain easy flexible and personalized solutions that enhance the client experience across both iOS and lead the planning and strategy for the technical design development and integration of these applications.

How youll succeed

  • Design and development - Perform and coordinate complicated application programming activities. Design the applications technical infrastructure using specific databases programming languages utilities and testing the design and development of cost-effective and innovative solutions.
  • Strategic planning - Develop multi-year technology roadmaps that align with the banks vision strategy and business goals. Lead multiple complicated projects involving backend systems new technology and the enhancement of existing applications.
  • Leadership skills - Act as the mobile development team lead and run code-review sessions with the wider team to ensure the project is on track to meet goals. Support and mentor intermediate and senior developers by sharing knowledge collaborating and problem solving.
  • Project experience - Implementation: Demonstrated experience in implementing Salesforce solutions and managing configurations. Customization: Experience with customizing Salesforce applications to meet business requirements. Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve technical issues and communication skills for interacting with stakeholders gathering requirements and providing technical support.
  • Development Tools and Practices - Version Control: Proficiency with Git for version control. Development Environment: Experience with Salesforce Developer Console and integrated development environments (IDEs) such as Visual Studio Code. Unit Testing: Experience with writing and executing Apex test classes to ensure code quality. Deployment Tools: Familiarity with Salesforce deployment tools like Change Sets and Salesforce CLI.
  • Azure DevOps experience - CI/CD Pipelines: Experience in setting up and managing Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Azure DevOps. Version Control Integration: Knowledge of integrating Salesforce development workflows with Azure Repos. Automated Testing: Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and processes within Azure DevOps for Salesforce deployments. Additional Technical Skills: JavaScript Frameworks: Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks and libraries like React or Platforms: Experience with other cloud platforms like Azure.

Who you are

  • You will have 3 years of Salesforce Platform Expertise. Salesforce Certification: At least one Salesforce certification such as Salesforce Administrator Salesforce Developer (Platform App Builder) or Salesforce Sales Cloud Consultant. Nice to Have Skills: Advanced Salesforce Certifications: Salesforce Architect Certifications: Such as Salesforce Certified Application Architect or Salesforce Certified System Architect. Experience with Salesforce customization using Apex classes flows and triggers. Creating lightning components to deliver interactive interfaces and Salesforce based integrations with other systems is an asset.

  • You can demonstrate experience in: Apex Programming: Proficiency in Apex programming language for backend development. Visualforce: Experience with Visualforce pages for custom user interfaces. Lightning Components: Knowledge of Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Aura Components for building dynamic user interfaces. Salesforce APIs: Familiarity with Salesforce REST and SOAP APIs for integrations. Salesforce Data Modeling: Experience with Salesforce objects relationships and schema design.
