Ramahyuck District Aboriginal Corporation (RDAC) was established as an Aboriginal Community Controlled organisation in 1992 to improve the social health and economic outcomes for Aboriginal people. RDAC is a leading provider of primary health care and related social and family support services to Aboriginal people and communities across Gippsland. RDACs services are provided at the following locations: wellington Shire and Latrobe Valley. RDACs services include: general practice; health assessment and education; chronic disease management; drug and alcohol counselling; child and family services; child and maternal health; home and community care; immunisation and vaccinations; social and emotional wellbeing support and counselling; allied health; client transport corporate services and child care service.
About the role
The Practice Manager is responsible for the day to day management and coordination of primary health care service delivery at the Morwell General Practice. the role will provide high level culturally competent leadership and supervision to the general practice and its staff ensuring planning and supervision of daily duties and coordination of visiting services. Although primarily focused on clinical administration. this position will also from time to time be required to assist in patient facing services.
Full time pay rate will be based on qualifications and experience.
Service Delivery including but not limited to:
- Assist in the development and delivery of an integrated and culturally sensitive services
- Ensure maximised use of and compliance with Medicare and ensure billing accurately reflects the full range of services available and provided
- Assist in the identification and implementation of innovations to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of service delivery
- Proactively facilitate the implementation of a range of health promotion activities
- Supervise staff to ensure appropriate rostering client workflow management compliance with agreed service levels and national health accreditation standards to ensure performance targets are met and exceeded
- Provide quality leadership and management to team members GPs and other clinical staff as required including interviewing orientation training conducting regular ongoing support and supervision and performance development and reviews
- Develop and maintain effective internal and external relationships as required including developing and managing formal partnership agreements
- Ensure high quality data and reporting compliance
- Provide administrator level support for client record and data management systems and software
- Monitor and ensure the maintenance of equipment & consumables
- Work with staff to ensure that reporting to external agencies is accurate timely and ensures full and appropriate benefit for our clients.
- Ensure the medical provision model supports full utilisation of Ramahyuck assets for growing and sustainable business outcomes in turn allowing investment into the improvement of the service and health outcomes
