Job Summary

Lift Personnel Manager

Bristol Mountain

The Lift Personnel Manager is responsible for hiring training staffing and overseeing staff on a daily basis to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for our guests.

Responsibilities:

  • Interviewing hiring and scheduling staff for lift operations including identifying returning lift staff onboarding and training returning and new staff.
  • Supervising staff operators etc. to ensure they are performing their responsibilities in a safe and responsible manner
  • Remaining current with all employment documentation and coordinating with the HR department and Mountain Manager for Lift Personnel matters
  • Perform all exit interviews with staff upon their last day of work or at the end of the season.
  • Ensure all lift staff comply with the policies and procedures as outlined in the Bristol Mountain Handbook and Lift Operations Guidelines.
  • Properly staff lift operations and operate within budgeted guidelines. Adhere to all Labor Laws including those of minors.
  • Inventory distribute and maintain responsibility for Lift Uniforms and make certain staff appearance is in compliance with established guidelines.
  • Communication with Mountain Manager and Management for daily and weekly schedules as well as late openings early closings or mechanical conditions that may alter the lift operations schedule.
  • Perform duties as an operator at times when necessary.
  • Attend weekly staff meetings and conduct weekly staff meetings with lift personnel
  • Know the Code Code 54 Article 18 and become familiar with B-77 and other lift related documents and regulations.
  • Create and maintain a safe work environment to avoid injuries to staff and our guests. All staff injuries are reported to our Workmans Compensation Coordinator conducting the appropriate investigation re-training or disciplinary action if necessary.
  • Allocating 75% or greater time with staff at their work site and rotating to all lift stations that are staffed several times throughout the day as an opportunity to monitor coach and guide their efforts.
  • Responsible for start-up and shut-down procedures including daily inspections corral and general set up as required.
  • Ensure all operators maintain a clean work environment in attendants buildings loading and unloading areas etc.
  • Become familiar with each lift and learn mechanically their operations.
  • Additional duties as assigned

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • 18 years of age or older and prior work experience
  • Able to work independently and in a group setting
  • Must be able to work in all weather types for long periods of time
  • Must have an ability to ensure policies and procedures are adhered to
  • Sound organizational skills
  • Personable with excellent communication skills
  • Able to Problem solve and coach and manage staff

Hours:

  • Hours of employment are dependent on business demands
  • Must have weekend and evening availability
  • Rate of Pay:
  • Starting at $18.50 per hour
