Technician Protein Sciences (fmd)

Ascendis Pharma is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Technician to join our Protein Sciences this role you will be responsible for producing therapeutic protein candidates for preclinical in vitro and in vivo testing. We are looking for a proactive individual with strong problem-solving abilities and hands-on experience in protein sciences including expression purification and characterization.

Your Responsibilities

• Support the development and optimization of protein production processes (molecular cloning expression purification) for therapeutic candidates
• Characterize protein quality (e.g. purity yield stability activity)
• Continuously improve existing workflows and implement new technologies
• Document all research results using electronic lab notebooks (ELN) and inventory systems in English
• Communicate results effectively within project teams
• Operate monitor and maintain laboratory equipment and installations
• Perform general lab organization and support tasks

Your Profile

• Completed training as Biological Laboratory Technician BTA PTA or a related life science discipline
• 03 years of experience in academic biotech or industrial research settings
• Solid knowledge and practical experience in molecular biology cell culture and protein expression (e.g. CHO/HEK293 cells)
• Strong hands-on experience in protein purification and analytical techniques (e.g. ÄKTA HPLC)
• Careful and precise working style
• Self-organized structured and detail-oriented
• Good communication and basic presentation skills
• Proficiency in English and German
• Team-oriented mindset with a passion for interdisciplinary collaboration
