Position Overview:
Provide specialized surgical support for pediatric procedures in a Level I trauma center and academic medical environment. Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal outcomes for pediatric patients across complex specialties.

Qualifications:
- Education:Graduate of accredited Surgical Technology program
- Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of recent OR experience (within the last 4 years) in:
- Acute care facilities comparable to Level 1 trauma centers or teaching hospitals
- Specialty areas such as orthopedics neurosurgery trauma vascular ENT bariatric GU and GYN
- Pediatric experience is preferred
- Scrub experience is required.
- Technical Skills:
- Complex pediatric scrub procedures
- Sterile field maintenance
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare/sterilize instruments for pediatric surgeries
- Anticipate surgeon needs during complex procedures
- Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection protocols
- Handle specialized pediatric surgical equipment
- Assist in trauma orthopedic and neurosurgical cases
- Coordinate specimen management and documentation
