About the Role
Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of DVSH the Senior Rapid Rehousing Case Manager leads a team providing community-based services to victims of domestic violence sexual violence stalking and/or human trafficking who meet HUDs definition of literally homeless including those fleeing or attempting to flee domestic violence. This position provides services to a reduced caseload while supervising and supporting case management staff to ensure services are trauma-informed strength-based and client-centered.
Responsibilities
Leadership and Supervision
- Supervise Case Manager(s) providing Rapid Rehousing services.
- Provide coaching and support through regular one-on-one meetings and evaluations.
- Support Case Managers in handling complex cases requiring higher-level solutions.
- Collaborate with leadership to ensure service delivery aligns with grants contracts policies and best practices.
- Review client files and VADATA reports for accuracy compliance with the Violence Against Women Act and agency standards.
- Ensure compliance with grant requirements.
- Disseminate information on tenant rights housing discrimination lease compliance and housing search strategies.
- Develop community partnerships and identify resources for unmet client needs.
- Implement and oversee new program initiatives in collaboration with the Assistant Director.
- Verify and approve timesheets and leave requests.
Case Management
- Conduct in-depth assessments of clients physical mental health social needs life skills employability housing history educational needs financial management skills and strengths to develop and achieve housing goals.
- Provide crisis intervention develop safety plans assist with protective orders and accompany clients to court and appointments.
- Assist clients with housing searches applications and tours.
- Establish relationships with landlords to negotiate leases and advocate for clients.
- Coordinate rental assistance and track payments.
- Collaborate with clients to develop budgets and provide financial literacy education as needed.
- Document all client interactions in files and VADATA.
- Provide domestic violence psychoeducation using tools such as The Power and Control Wheel and the Cycle of Violence.
- Empower clients and households to achieve their goals and review service plans regularly.
- Collaborate with community providers to ensure comprehensive services.
General Duties
- Participate in staff meetings and training.
- Function as a contributing member of a multidisciplinary team.

RequirementsAbout You
Required
- Bachelors degree in social work human services or related field or commensurate experience.
- 1 years of human services or direct service experience.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks make sound judgments and navigate interruptions.
- Ability to provide creative resourceful solutions to unique challenges.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation; 1015% local travel.
- Ability to drive a minivan.
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Preferred
- Experience serving clients experiencing homelessness domestic/sexual violence or mental health/substance abuse issues.
- Fluency in a language other than English (e.g. Spanish Farsi Arabic Amharic).
Physical Requirements
- Annual TB test required.
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods at a time.
