Travel RN - Intermediate Care (Contract Role)
- Location: Utica NY 13502
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-Hour Day 6:30 AM 7:00 PM
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekly Pay Rate: $2160 - $2340; (Negotiable based on experience)
Job Summary:
Seeking a dedicated Travel Registered Nurse with experience in Intermediate Care/Progressive Care Units. The RN will provide high-quality patient care collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and ensure proper documentation of all nursing interventions. This role requires floating within the department as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in IMCU/PCU following established standards and protocols.
- Perform patient assessments develop and implement nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
- Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes to the healthcare team.
- Accurately document all patient care and interventions in the EMR (Epic).
- Assist with patient transfers and support floating duties as required.
- Adhere to hospital policies safety protocols and infection control standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of IMCU/PCU experience.
- Travel nursing experience required.
- Current AHA BLS ACLS and NIHSS certifications.
- Active NY RN license; verification required for all RN licenses.
- Experience with EPIC EMR required.
- Strong clinical judgment assessment and communication skills.
- Flexibility to float as needed.
