Job Summary
Biomedical Equipment Technician (Elmira NY)
Full-time Estimated Pay: $27.36 $33.86 per hour Up to $2500 sign-on bonus
This position offers a great opportunity for a skilled and detail-oriented Biomedical Equipment Technician to support the maintenance repair and calibration of medical and clinical equipment. Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot repair and calibrate a variety of biomedical and clinical equipment
Perform preventive maintenance safety checks and installations of new systems
Evaluate and document equipment performance including root cause analysis of issues
Provide training and in-service support on equipment use and safety practices
Maintain accurate service documentation and records
Coordinate with team members and vendors to manage service projects and assignments
Stay current with technical updates and participate in ongoing training
Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency service as needed
Qualifications:
Associate degree in Biomedical Electronic or Computer Technology with 4 years of experience or a Bachelors degree in Engineering with 2 years of relevant experience
Strong understanding of electronics pneumatics hydraulics and medical device systems
ICC certification preferred
Ability to lift and handle equipment safely
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Schedule:
Day shift with flexibility for equipment access and emergency support
