Job Description:
We are seeking a Pediatric Physical Therapist to provide care in an outpatient setting. The role involves planning and implementing individualized treatment programs for pediatric patients while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

Conduct patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
Implement therapeutic exercises gait training soft tissue mobility and modalities such as heat/cold therapy ultrasound and electrical stimulation
Educate patients and caregivers on exercises posture injury prevention and use of assistive devices
Modify treatment plans based on patient progress and communicate with other healthcare providers as needed
Document treatment plans progress notes and discharge summaries in compliance with standards
Provide guidance to support staff assisting in patient care
Maintain a safe and organized treatment environment and adhere to infection control and safety protocols
Participate in ongoing professional development and training
Provide care to patients across age groups from infants to adults

Qualifications:

Must hold or be eligible for a Physical Therapy license in New York State
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire
Ability to lift at least 30 pounds independently and up to 150 pounds with assistance
Preferred experience in pediatric or outpatient physical therapy settings
