Job Summary:
The Electrophysiology Technician assists in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias. This role involves working with electrophysiology equipment monitoring patients during procedures and assisting physicians. The technician may also be required to float to the Cath Lab and take on-call duties.
Location:Anchorage Alaska United States
Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians during electrophysiology procedures.
- Monitor patients vital signs and cardiac rhythms.
- Operate and maintain electrophysiology equipment.
- Prepare patients for procedures.
- Document patient information and procedures performed.
- Float to the Cath Lab as needed.
- Take on-call duties including responding to emergencies.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- ARRT (R) or RCES certification
- Experience working as a Cath Lab Tech
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience in electrophysiology procedures
Special Considerations:
- On-call duties required 3 nights per week for 2 hours per night (no weekends).
- May float to the Cath Lab.
- Time off is approved on an individual basis with only 1 request per 13-week assignment.
- Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility.
Scheduling:
- 4x10 day shifts.
- Guaranteed 70 hours per 2 weeks but may be called off for one 10-hour shift per 2 weeks.
