Job Title: Accounting Associate
Client: Aerospace Industry
Duration: 6 Months (Temp to Hire)
Location: Orangeburg NY 10962
Shift: Monday Friday (8:00 AM 5:00 PM)
Position Summary:
The Accounting Associate will support day-to-day accounting operations ensuring accuracy and compliance across financial transactions reconciliations and reporting. This role involves maintaining financial controls preparing reports and assisting in budgeting and cost analysis within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with accounting and financial recording standards (GL entries cash transactions tax postings etc.).
- Perform reconciliations of balance sheet P&L and bank accounts.
- Prepare accounting schedules and reports for management and compliance purposes.
- Support consolidation of financial statements cash flow and budget reporting.
- Conduct cost analysis variance reviews and assist in budget preparation.
- Identify and recommend cost-saving opportunities.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Ability to work independently with general supervision.
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Capable of influencing and collaborating with team members through clear communication.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s Degree in Accounting (required).
- 1 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial accounting environment (preferred).
