Job Summary

The School of STEM Department of Computer Science Mathematics and Statistics at Vermont State University invites applications for a Part-Time teaching position for Spring 2026 (January 20 - May 15 2026).

The course to be taught is Part-Time Faculty -CIS 1152L - Advanced Website Development- Lab

CIS 1152L is the laboratory component of CIS 1152

2 hours of laboratory instruction per week at VTSU Williston Campus

Fridays 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

CIS 1152-Advanced Website Developmen teaches the student implementation monitoring and deployment of a complete website and integration of the website with a database. Emphasis is on the PHP language and server side processing. JavaScript is used when its suited to the desired task. Topics include authentication methods; form processing; form validation using HTML 5 JavaScript and PHP; an overview of databases; PHP functions to interface with a database; and website security.

Minimum Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a Masters degree or better in a related field or equivalent experience in the field. Teaching experience at the college level is preferable.

Salary:
Based on credits previously taught per VSC-VSCPTF Bargaining Unit Agreement.
