Job Summary
Position Title: Anesthesia Medical Coder

Role Summary:
Reviews anesthesia reports and applies accurate CPT/ASA codes and modifiers ensuring proper time-based billing and concurrency compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assign CPT/ASA codes and apply modifiers (AA QX QZ).
- Calculate anesthesia time units and ensure medical necessity.
- Support claim audits and denial resolution.
Required Skills:
- Deep understanding of ASA crosswalk and concurrency rules.
- Proficient in CPT anesthesia coding and ICD-10-CM.
- Knowledge of anesthesia EMR systems.
