Role: ServiceNow Architect
Duration: 6 months with extension
Location: Chicago IL (Hybrid)
Position Overview
We are seeking a seasoned integration architect to lead the design and implementation of a next-generation Employee Experience Portal. This role requires deep technical expertise in ServiceNow and Workday with a strong focus on enterprise integrations architectural strategy and stakeholder alignment across technical and business domains.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with ServiceNow Workday and Enterprise Architecture teams to architect and deliver a unified user-centric Employee Experience Portal.
- Assess and enhance existing ServiceNow configurations (e.g. EC Pro) to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards and industry best practices.
- Define and guide the technical architecture for seamless integrations between ServiceNow Workday and other enterprise platforms.
- Identify integration challenges and performance bottlenecks; recommend and implement scalable effective solutions.
- Actively participate in technical design and review sessions influencing architectural decisions and ensuring cross-functional alignment.
- Provide light hands-on debugging and issue resolution support as needed (note: this is not a full-time development role).
- Navigate and align diverse technical and business perspectives to drive consensus and informed decision-making.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven expertise in ServiceNow with a focus on enterprise-grade integrations and platform architecture.
- Hands-on experience designing and delivering ServiceNowWorkday integrations or similarly complex cross-platform solutions.
- Strong grasp of cloud architecture principles and modern integration frameworks (e.g. REST SOAP middleware).
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across technical and business teams.
- Familiarity with AI and search capabilities within ServiceNow or comparable platforms (preferred).
- Ability to provide strategic architectural guidance while remaining hands-on for configuration and troubleshooting when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Workday integrations or broader HR systems transformation initiatives.
- Prior involvement in employee experience portal modernization or digital workplace programs.
- Exposure to large-scale enterprise environments including familiarity with governance compliance and change management processes.
