Position Overview
The Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst provides technical leadership and analytical expertise in support of the DOI Interior Business Centers Human Resources Directorate (HRD).
This role is responsible for designing developing and maintaining business intelligence solutions that transform complex HR payroll and personnel data into actionable insights to support decision-making performance optimization and modernization of IBCs administrative systems.
The BI Analyst collaborates closely with functional analysts developers database administrators and government stakeholders to deliver high-value analytics reporting and visualization services across HRD applications such as FPPS Quicktime WebTA and related systems.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis and Business Intelligence Development
- Gather integrate and validate data from diverse sources including databases spreadsheets system logs and API outputs.
- Perform data analysis cleansing modeling and transformation using SQL Power BI and other analytical tools.
- Identify patterns trends and key performance indicators (KPIs) to improve HRD operational efficiency and customer support.
- Develop interactive dashboards data visualizations and reports using Power BI or equivalent platforms to communicate insights to leadership and clients.
- Translate business requirements into technical data requirements ensuring clarity completeness and traceability.
- Participate in requirements elicitation sessions to capture and refine analytical needs for new clients or system enhancements.
