Job Summary
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide clients and prospective clients with specialized review of existing plan design contractual terms and pricing to remain competitive.
- Ensuring that the financial analysis on prospective clients is completed accurately and within appropriate deadlines.
- Provide expertise on valuations of potential corporate initiatives creating client pricing ROI and the ability to evaluate opportunities within the larger scope of the entire company.
- Leverage pharmacy and medial claims data to provide actionable and relevant and timely analytic insight.
- Strong understanding of ACA PPACA Medicare and spectrum from fully insured to fully self-funded small and large PBM business plans. Solid understanding of employer/group health benefits from all funding methodologies.
- Engage with executive leadership to identify areas where analytics can drive business value.
- Define team and individual goals managing performance and providing onboarding support and ongoing mentorship to the analytics team.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors degree form a 4 year college or university
- Minimum 5 years health insurance experience
- Prior experience analyzing medical and/or self-funding and PBM experience is beneficial
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Excel Veba skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft office (Microsoft CRM) is beneficial
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills is essential
- Ability to manage train and mentor staff
- Ability to develop and implement innovative pricing strategies whereby improving market competitiveness while maintaining profitability goals.
