Description- Assist in field documentation and observations of existing project conditions.
- Be responsible for assigned components of project engineering design.
- Assist in the development of BIM and or CADD models using existing documentation plans and surveys.
- Perform basic computations and analysis.
- Provide coordination with the architectural and MEP teams.
- Utilize BIM and or CADD software to create and modify plans details schedules and other Contract Documents following office standards.
- Assist in the preparation of project specifications and material quantity take-offs for project estimates as directed.
- Assist in review of construction period submittals.
- Attend on-site observation of the work during construction to monitor compliance with Construction Documents.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of Codes and Industry Design Standards.
Requirements- Bachelors degree (B.S.) in Civil Engineering with EIT preferred. Application to sit for FE exam is required.
- 0-2 years of project related experience in building superstructure and foundation design.
- Strong computer skills including Revit AutoCAD Microsoft Office Suite.
- Basic understanding of engineering design principles drafting practices building materials construction methods and engineering standards.
- Experience with RAM Structural System or RISA design software is desirable.
- Ability to prepare contract documents calculations and specifications.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to follow established office and design standards.
- Ability to conduct research and stay current with industry trends codes and best practices.
- Strong time-management skills including developing personal work schedules coordinating with project manager needs and balancing priorities.
- U.S. Citizenship required due to potential access to classified information.
