At Axis New Business we develop new innovative products and system solutions that broaden Axis total offering. Our focus is future professional comprehensive solutions within sound and smart pass systems. Axis takes pride in product quality which is a key factor for customers choosing Axis. Maintaining and improving products developed at Axis that are sold worldwide requires an active and dedicated maintenance organization.
Now we need to strengthen our maintenance team at New Business with an additional experienced and dedicated project manager with a strong developer profile preferable from HW!
Your future team
You will become an important part of our growing support team within New Business R&D. The team maintains the products and leads quality updates of Axis Access control intercoms and smart audio products in close collaboration with many other disciplines external partners suppliers and product owners.
Your wide role as PMT hardware project manager at New Business
Despite Axis high quality goals and careful development tests errors occur in our products. This may be due to production-related problems varying component quality design errors or a use case that was overlooked during product development. For this work we need dedicated project managers with a strong ability to deliver in complex environments where each assignment brings new challenges. The projects range from data collection root cause analysis through design verification and certification to production implementation and delivery planning.
Another important part of the daily work is the important proactive part of refining our processes sharing lessons with our development teams. Find weaknesses or problems through systematic analysis even before they arise.
Who are we looking for
You are a structured experienced project manager or product HW development engineer with design management or project management experience. You can deliver in a complex environment where each assignment and every day brings new challenge sometimes under great time pressure. Most changes are made directly to products in high-volume production which places high demands on creativity experience foresight planning ability and precision.
You have the ability to drive many activities and projects in parallel in close collaboration with a variety of functions internally and globally where you become the spider in the web.
We wish you have:
- A relevant engineering education at least university level.
- Several years of experience from HW product development projects.
- Broad experience from quality work and EMS production.
- A strong ability to create structure and independently drive and make decisions in complex situations.
- Easy to lead collaborate and communicate with different professions within R&D product management production and with external international suppliers and partners.
- Good communication skills are a key competency for this role.
