Two years post high school education in a related technical field including carpentry plumbing electrical and/or heating ventilating and air conditioning. Two years related experience which includes regular participation in activities such as project planning designing ensuring code compliance estimating project costs investigating problems recommending actions or similar tasks or An equivalent combination of training and experience totaling four years.Preferred Qualifications:
-Project management experience-Experience with maintenance management systems
-Experience with inventory management systems
-Computer software experience; specifically TMA
-Experience with report writing
Job Description:
Join our team to maintain our building equipment inventory and maintenance management program. Coordinate projects to ensure compliance with university today and help us build the future!
About the role:
Inventory and catalog building equipment systems such as HVAC plumbing electrical controls life safety etc.
Maintains and creates records and processes within computerized maintenance management system.
Develop plan schedule and implement Planned Maintenance (PM) and other management programs.
Evaluates PM methods products and repair procedures and develops new or modify existing procedures.
Reviews and interprets mechanical/electrical drawings for new and remodel construction projects.
Coordinates projects for inspections certifications and repairs on buildings equipment systems.
Provides technical support and other troubleshooting expertise to facilities maintenance personnel.
About you:
Candidates with a strong knowledge of project management.
The ability to read and interpret schematics drawings and instruction books.
Excellent communication skills are essential as is the ability to interact effectively and professionally with others.
Capable of working both independently and as part of a team

Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
Knowledge of technical drafting or engineering practices procedures and reference sources.
Ability to communicate effectively with staff students and the public.
Ability to identify and evaluate technical problems when conducting performance testing procedures.
Skill in operating technical equipment related to specified trade area.
Skill in utilizing computer software for uses such as design scheduling planning and or data management.
Ability to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on technical equipment.
Ability to estimate labor and material costs and to prepare initiate and obtain quotes and orders for project materials and equipment.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship. Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.
