Job Summary

St. Mary School in Rockville Maryland is hiring a Maintenance Technician for the 2025-26 school year.
This is a full time role and will report to the Facilities Manager; the schedule will be Monday - Friday 7am to 3pm
The pay rate for this role is $23.00 to $25.00 per hour with excellent benefits.

Duties and responsibilities

Basic maintenance and repair work for school buildings on the St. Marys campus
All routine cleaning of classrooms and public areas
Open the building each morning
all routine maintenance activities such as changing lightbulbs moving furniture desks and chairs.
Light plumbing snow removal general upkeep of property.
During the summer months the maintenance technician will assist in painting and repairs to prepare for the next school year

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Effective team player with strong interpersonal and mechanical skills
Ability to perform multiple tasks
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of maintenance and repairs.
Reliable transportation
Must be self-motivated and responsible ability to work with minimal supervision

Requirements

Minimum 1-2 years prior professional experience in building and grounds maintenance work
Education: High School diploma or equivalent
Electronic background check. Will need to be trained and in compliance with Archdiocesan Child Protection Policy
