Job Summary

The JM Family College Internship Program is designed to create an opportunity for college students to have meaningful work experiences that tie to their programs of study. As part of this program you will actively contribute to your teams success learn about JM Familys companies and culture while obtaining new skills through learning opportunities networking events and much more.

The ideal candidate will be available to work full-time during the Summer Internship Program (May 26th 2026 - July 31st 2026).

Interns will engage in meaningful work and gain insights into specific projects or tasks providing hands-on experience and contributing to various department initiatives. They will learn about JM Familys culture including our core values: Consideration Cooperation Communication Innovation and Accountability. These core values are part of our keys to success and the skills that embody these values are what drive our success as an organization.

The Benefits Intern will gain experience working on projects that enhance the associate experience through improved self-service and digital enablement. This internship will provide opportunities to create high-quality HR content explore innovative tools like Workday and AI-driven search and support initiatives that modernize benefits access. Additionally the intern will serve as a point of contact for fellow interns reinforcing engagement and development while contributing to meaningful company-wide initiatives in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Content Management
    • Create and maintain benefits content to enhance the associate experience for HR Now and SharePoint in a visually appealing cohesive elevated manner: write/refresh knowledge articles quick-guides and assist in development/maintenance of a benefits-centric SharePoint hub.
    • Research and prototype the art of the possible for Benefits Education communications and delivery including but not limited to Workday AI tools and other exploratory mechanisms: inventory relevant Workday capabilities and evaluate current AI tools (benefits chatbot search) to deliver recommendations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders throughout HR and the organization to refine market content and use available data/analytics to ensure successful deployment of benefits education.
  • Serve as the Benefits point-of-contact for the intern cohort: host short Benefits 101 sessions answer questions.
  • Completing assignments and reporting on progress.

Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will be actively enrolled in a bachelors masters or other degree-seeking program at an accredited college or university majoring in Communications/Journalism/Graphic Design (Preferred) or Business Administration HR Public Relations Marketing and Library & Information Science. Candidates in related fields will also be considered. Must have completed at least one semester of coursework.
  • Relevant completed coursework may include classes related to the role or similar.
  • Additional requirements or preferred qualifications may include specific skills or experiences.
