Data collection and analysis
- The Business Analyst collects and analyses data such as customers forecasts and historical data e.g. profitability performance post-cost calculation costing data manufacturing data logistics data
- Timely reliable and thorough analyses of these categories contribute to improved service quality and performance for our organization as well as identification and acting effectively on opportunities.
- Perform analysis on actual costs on request or on own initiative. Secure manage and analyse costs calculations are part of the responsibility. Collect complex data coming from several sources and transforming them into management reports.
- Create and maintain reporting templates used to track the defined KPIs on Sales where necessary
- Create a total picture and give support to the commercial and operational tasks within the DS Smith business team.
- Responsible for reference data in the business system
Reporting/Presentations
- Strive for continuous improvement of quality and service of the business reporting.
- Prepare decision-relevant sales and profitability analysis DSS Group Accounts or big projects/tenders in the Sub-region
- Technical support for preparation of BUD presentations and FC at Sub-Regional level fill-in templates add comments
- The analysis made by the Business Analyst must be available to all disciplines within the organization.
- Prepare presentations for meetings and occasions present ad-hoc analysis and research on demand
- Work closely with the Commercial Teams as well as other functions.
- Participate to MT meetings and business reviews
Continuous improvement
- Actively contribute to defining and implementing improvement processes for long-term business planning.
Commercial Tools (Sales Database)
- Get familiar with the division-wide implemented standard tools (sales database CRM CDI) to properly use these for any kind of commercial analysis
- Working knowledge of Power BI including building and maintaining dashboards connecting to data sources and creating insightful visual reports. Ensure a constantly high level of data quality
Ad-hoc requests
- Effectively coordinate any central information/data requests (short/medium/long term) in close cooperation with local teams

- Maintenance of accurate and quality of data processed and presented
- Effectiveness and efficiency of analisys and detailing options for decision taking
- Keeping the communicated deadlines

Key Skill Requirements
- University Degree in Economics or Engineering
- Good knowledge of Cost Accounting Services
- Excellent knowledge of MS Excel ERP familiarity CRM MS Office and easy adaptation to new technologies
- Very good knowledge of English
- Skilled in the use of analyses and reporting tool (Excel COGNOS Navigator)
- Good knowledge of the business
- Self-motivating and pro-active
- Good networking expertise
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Sufficient IT knowledge
- PBI knowledge and experience is considered a plus
- Strong analytical thinking and way of working
- Methodical and well organized motivated by teamwork collaboration and sharing knowledge
- Self-motivated to drive things and get involved in discussions in order to learn more and deliver the best results
- High sense of responsibility and accountability
