The Dining Room Floor Lead is responsible for assisting Dining Room Manager in supervision and training of wait staff. The Dining Room Floor Lead is also responsible for assisting Dining Room Manager in all operational details of set-ups clean up billing and reports for dining services. Must be able to fill in where necessary during shift between supervising hosting serving scheduling event setup cleaning and upkeep of the dining rooms. Will train to be more proactive when looking to keep productive learning all areas of dining to help with proper department coverage. The chosen candidate will share PVEs vision and values to be an excellent cultural fit.
Job responsibilities include:
- Assist manager and Floor Supervisor in administering training and testing for all new hires in proper dining room etiquette and procedures for service and cleaning using the Server training manual.
- Assists Manager with all aspects of scheduling for proper coverage of service in the CC Café Quail Creek Dining Room Catering events The Oaks and Creek Side Café.
- Supervise servers to ensure prompt service in CC Café Quail Creek Dining Room Catering events The Oaks and Creek Side Café.
- Assist the dining room by working sections as server/host when team members are on vacation call offs.
- Assists hosts by helping seating resetting/rearranging tables or taking over position to add additional coverage on floor during busy service to ensure flow at podium.
- Remains flexible and adaptable.
- Communicates through appropriate channels.
- Handles difficult situations with good judgement.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Dining Room Manager.
Qualifications
- One year of experience in an institutional food service or restaurant situation required in a hostess or host position.
