As a Health Transport Coordinator you will be responsible for liaising with clinical and operations staff from Te Whata Ora and other healthcare providers to plan and coordinate the safe and efficient transfer of patients clinical staff and equipment between facilities or air ambulances.
We are looking for a customer service superstar to join our team as a Health Transport Coordinator covering a fixed-term position starting as soon as possible and finishing November 2026. This role works a day/day/night/night then 4 days off roster that consists of 12-hour shifts totaling an average of 42 hours per week. This role will be based at our Ambulance Communications Centre at 2 Harrison Road Mount Wellington.

To be successful in this role you will have:
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
- Be patient with the ability to prioritise and make decisions within policy and procedure
- Ability to work rostered shifts - evening/night/weekend shifts included
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task in a Windows operating environment
- A minimum typing speed of 40 wpm with high accuracy
- Good team player who has a willingness to contribute
- Demonstrated behaviours that align with St Johns core values - Do the right thing Side by side Straight up Make it better Open minds
