Your role:
Are you ready to take charge of sourcing and supply chain management at Impala Terminal Rotterdam In this pivotal role you will oversee our sourcing capabilities identifying and evaluating top-tier suppliers products and services. Your mission: to negotiate strategic contracts that secure the best value without compromising on quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Adhere to environmental regulations relevant to procurement activities.
Manage procurement budgets (if allocated) and monitor financial impacts on terminal operations.
Optimize procurement to enhance overall terminal performance.
Evaluate and manage procurement risks implementing policies for mitigation.
Track procurement expenditures and contribute to management reporting.
Lead procurement activities including supplier pre-qualification tender management contract preparation and negotiations.
Identify improvements in procurement practices to drive performance and business results.
Support budget owners with vendor analysis to enhance cost efficiency and quality.
Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders suppliers and strategic partners.
Oversee Capex purchasing in alignment with Impala strategy managing materials contracts and investments under the guidance of the General Manager and Impala procurement team.
Execute and administer terminal contracts ensuring services are delivered within budget and standards.
Foster collaboration with internal clients and drive cost savings through bundling productivity improvements and SLA optimization.
Support Impala procurement initiatives and apply standardized processes and procedures where applicable.
Job requirements
About you
Tertiary qualification in procurement / supply chain management / contract management
5-7 years experience in the O&G / Terminals industry
At least 4 years experience in a senior procurement capacity in a major Liquid Petroleum Terminal
Advantageous will be experience in capital projects related to the terminals industry
Contract negotiation.
Skills and Competencies:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite presentation tools and procurement/ERP systems (Navision experience is a plus).
Strong knowledge of procurement and financial practices in petroleum terminals with commercial awareness and logistics expertise in Rotterdam.
Skilled in project planning change and time management with excellent attention to detail.
Strong financial acumen able to analyze data challenge pricing and negotiate effectively for win-win outcomes.
Fluent in Dutch and English with the ability to confidently communicate complex information.
Team player with strong expertise in supplier management and the ability to build strong supplier relationships.
