Job Summary
Working with students under teacher supervision in the emotional disabilities room. Estimate for this long term substitute position is November 19 2025 through February 11 2026.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
*Working under the direction of the classroom teacher to:
- Assist individual students with learning tasks assigned by the teacher.
- Assist students in small group learning situations as assigned by the classroom teacher.
- Supervise seat work while teacher is working with small groups.
- Assist the teacher with other instruction-related tasks.
- Assist students with make-up work.
- Assist substitute teachers by providing necessary information on classroom routine during the regular teachers absence.
- Assist with student supervision outside the classroom in activities such as emergency drills and assemblies
Assist with any other duties directed by the school administrators as they would relate to instruction of students.
Minimum Training and Experience Require
Completed two years of study at an institution of higher education; or
Obtained an associates (or higher) degree; or
Met a rigorous standard of quality and be able to demonstrate through aformal State or local academic assessment knowledge of and the abilityto assist in instructing reading writing and mathematics (or asappropriate reading readiness writing readiness and mathematicsreadiness).
