- Provide consistent and comprehensive case management and follow-up
- Conduct new customer orientation - Help to ensure that positive outcomes and goals are met as required by contract - Work with schools account managers and management to ensure appropriate documentation is completed and received
- Facilitate all professional development workshops
- Maintain organized database of clients and keep detailed documentation of all contacts with clients - Ensure participants follow through with planned activities as outlined in contract with funding agency- Maintain accurate participant records and case notes and provide programmatic reports including success stories
- Provide individualized assessment of work provide referrals to appropriate community service or social service agencies when needed
- Accurately complete required documentation for enrollment
- Document all participant contacts and activities in case notes and ensure that post-placement contacts are made as required by specific contract
- Create solutions to participant attendance problems
- Assist in the preparation of project reports as needed (participation placement)
- Manage programs including the coordination of introductory workshops the facilitation of weekly workshops the issuance of grants in accordance with predetermined allocation targets and collection of placement data
- Manage the programmatic offerings of the Centers job preparation workshops to ensure a business-driven curriculum a high quality of presentation a satisfactory participation rate clear messaging of next steps and a tangible output
- Work collaboratively with the business services team to identify which jobs are available what qualifications are needed and which workshops and trainings can best prepare jobseekers for these positions
- Develop and maintain a standard communication plan to keep staff aware of center-wide issues and their role in meeting operational goals
- Participate in activities including training capacity building and professional development - Work with leadership to identify operational challenges and to design and implement process improvements
- Provide operational support and coverage as needed for reception and computer resource room/help desk
- Assist in the intake services for the Center
- Provide operations support for all compliance driven standards
Provide classroom instruction to participants in computer literacy job search techniques life skills money management job retention strategies pre-vocational/career transition opportunities and one-on-one tutoring as needed including: - Use classroom instruction and group participation activities to assist program participants in learning basic math reading writing skills vocabulary grammar; and to prepare for GED test - Provides input and assists in the development of Individual Service Plans
- Develop teaching outlines and select and/or design appropriate instructional materials
- Participate in refining existing curriculum as needed and developing new curriculum for other identified skills
- Tests for and documents attainment of competencies and academic progress
- Develops individual participant assessment based on participants performance and reports on participant progress
- Conducts group participation activities to build self-esteem enhance motivation to complete training and improve communication skills including soft skills for successful job retention
- Provides individual guidance related to vocational exploration goal selling and problem-solving; addresses behavioral problems
- Analyze and improve customer service by identifying areas that require improvement and implementing enhancements Assist in developing designing and maintaining appropriate documentation of course offerings
- Conduct needs assessment through formal and informal evaluation
- Works with case management staff to facilitate job search and placement maximizing retention for the client.
- May be assigned other tasks and duties reasonably related to their job responsibilities
Qualifications :
Related Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college in education social services healthcare and/or communications or experience commensurate with the position
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated customer service skills
- Familiarity with the communities being served with knowledge and understanding of local needs and resources
Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in youth development
Demonstrated understanding of the principles of effective youth-adult partnerships
Demonstrated creativity and innovation in training design and approach
Ability to present complex information to a team with varied skill sets
Ability to lead and facilitate collaborative relationships with diverse groups Excellent writing speaking and analytical skills
Strong self-motivation: ability to meet tight deadlines and balance multiple priorities
Experience in curriculum development implementation and instruction
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Google Business Suite preferred
