We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Childrens Contact Service Support Worker to join our dedicated Family Relationship Services team. This is a 12-month maximum-term role (0.9 FTE) working one Saturday per fortnight. This role has the possibility of extension depending on program needs and funding.
About the Role
The position focuses on supporting children and families through the delivery of safe structured and supportive contact and changeover services.
Key responsibilities include:
Safe Changeovers and Supervised Contact conducting risk assessments and facilitating safe conflict-free contact/changeovers.
Case Management Support and Documentation providing referrals case planning case notes and documentation.
Program Development and Compliance contributing to the development of program guidelines and procedures.
Networking and Promotion representing the service with the community other providers and the courts.
Data and Reporting supporting accurate data collection and reporting requirements.
About You
You will be passionate about working with children and families with the ability to remain calm empathetic and professional in complex and sometimes emotionally charged situations.
You will also bring:
Qualifications (or working towards) in Social Work Community Services Childcare or a related field.
Experience working with families and children with complex needs.
Knowledge of child development family relationships and trauma-informed practice.
Strong report-writing and documentation skills.
Ability to build and maintain positive professional relationships with a wide range of people.
Personal qualities such as reliability resilience flexibility and a sense of humour.
