We are looking for Data Center Technicians to join our rapidly expanding team. The position will help ensure overall availability and reliability to meet or exceed defined service levels of data center operations. This position involves in-depth hardware and network diagnostics followed by physical repair as well as participating in an on-call rotation.
All candidates should be willing to work both independently and with a team. Work prioritization organizational skills effective communication and the ability to react quickly are critical to being addition to hardware and network repair candidates will install equipment create documentation innovate solutions participate in site-level project work and fix complex problems within the Data Center Space.

Depending on the type of job you will be required to engage in physical data center activities This includes all tasks associated with planning and tracking capacity rack deployment rack cabling hardware and software troubleshooting and rack decommissioning. All physical requirements are expected with reasonable accommodation:
Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; and participate in group lifts for 41 pounds
Working in cramped and/or elevated locations
Bending lifting stretching and reaching
Standing and walking for up to 8 hours a day
Ascending and descending ladders stairs and gangways safely and without limitation
Work in a noisy environment
Work shifts longer than 8 hours to support 24/7 operations (covering both night and day shifts).
Extensive travel will be required in 2024 with some travel required in 2025.

- High school or equivalent diploma
- 1 years of Microsoft Office (Word Excel and Outlook) experience
- Technical (Military/Trade School) training or 1 years of electrical or mechanical HVAC fire system experience in a mission-critical infrastructure or equivalent experience in a relevant industry (for example: electrical or mechanical) 1 years of electrical or mechanical experience
- 2 years of data center engineering experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $59600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $133200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
