Job Summary

The JM Family College Internship Program is designed to create an opportunity for college students to have meaningful work experiences that tie to their programs of study. As part of this program you will actively contribute to your teams success learn about JM Familys companies and culture while obtaining new skills through learning opportunities networking events and much more.

The ideal candidate will be available to work full-time during the Summer Internship Program (May 26th 2026 - July 31st 2026).

Interns will engage in meaningful work and gain insights into specific projects or tasks providing hands-on experience and contributing to various department initiatives. They will learn about JM Familys culture including our core values: Consideration Cooperation Communication Innovation and Accountability. These core values are part of our keys to success and the skills that embody these values are what drive our success as an organization.

Responsibilities:

Support Finance Technology Initiatives: Assist in the evaluation implementation and optimization of finance systems (e.g. ERP EPM etc.) to improve process efficiency and data accuracy.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Gather clean and analyze financial and operational data to identify trends support decision-making and enhance system reporting capabilities.
Process Documentation: Help document end-to-end finance processes system workflows and user procedures to support continuous improvement and training initiatives.
Testing & User Support: Participate in system testing user acceptance testing (UAT) and troubleshooting activities to ensure successful deployment of new tools and system enhancements.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement: Partner with Finance IT and cross-functional teams to identify opportunities where automation and digital solutions can deliver better business outcomes.

Qualifications:

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas pivot tables data analysis) required.
Exposure to data visualization tools (Power BI Tableau) or ERP systems (Oracle NetSuite or Workday) preferred.
Familiarity with basic data management concepts and ability to learn new financial technologies quickly.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to accuracy and detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to clearly summarize findings and present insights.
Strong collaboration and teamwork skills with the ability to work effectively across Finance IT and Business teams.
Curious and proactive learnerwith a strong desire to understand how finance systems enable business decision-making.
Organized self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
This is a full-time position with flexible working arrangements depending on the business need.
The ideal candidate will be actively enrolled in a bachelors masters or other degree- at an accredited college or university with a focus in Finance Accounting Business Admin. Economics or General Business focus. Candidates in related fields will also be considered. Must have completed at least one semester of coursework.
Prior coursework projects or internship experience related to corporate finance data analytics or information systems is a plus.
Strong academic performance and demonstrated interest in financial systems digital transformation or process improvement.
Additional requirements or preferred qualifications may include specific skills or experiences.
