Job Summary
Prepare and process complex reinsurance transactions including ceded and assumed premium and claims monthly quarterly and annual reconciliations of reinsurance accounts and balances identifying and resolving any with underwriting claims and actuarial departments to ensure all reinsurance data is accurate and correctly financial reports related to reinsurance activity for management auditors and regulatory internal and external audits by providing documentation reconciliations and explanations of reinsurance-related in the preparation of regulatory filings such as NAIC and Schedule F cash settlements related to reinsurance premiums and recoveries including collections and reinsurance contract terms to ensure proper accounting treatment and compliance with agreement and implement process improvements to increase efficiency accuracy and overall control of reinsurance accounting current with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS) and regulatory requirements affecting the reinsurance industry.
Qualifications :
Education: Masters degree in accounting Finance or a related : Previous experience in reinsurance or insurance accounting is :In-depth knowledge of reinsurance concepts including treaty and facultative understanding of accounting principles (GAAP and Statutory).Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Workday SAP) and advanced Microsoft Excel analytical problem-solving and organizational attention to detail and a high degree of written and verbal communication to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
