The Rehabilitation Pain Service at Toronto Rehabilitation Institute University Health Network (UHN) is recruiting physicians with expertise in pain assessment and management.

We are seeking a dedicated clinician with a strong interest in the rehabilitation of individuals living with complex pain. The service is part of UHNs Comprehensive Interprofessional Pain Program and the Toronto Academic Pain Medicine Institute (TAPMI).

Our focus is on the comprehensive and holistic assessment of individuals with pain determining whether the presentation is primarily nociceptive neuropathic or nociplastic and delivering coordinated evidence-based care in collaboration with an interprofessional team.

Remuneration:
Compensation includes base support through a provincial Alternative Payment Program for Pain Management supplemented by fee-for-service clinical income.


Qualifications :

  • MD or equivalent degree
  • Candidates must be certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or be members of the College of Family Physicians of Canada with specialized training in Pain and must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) obtaining full licensure prior to commencing practice.
  • A fellowship in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Neurology Rheumatology Anesthesiology Psychiatry or Psychotherapy is not required but is highly recommended.
