ReNuke Services is seeking an Engineer IV for our clients site in Charlotte NC!
Description:
Full time hybrid 3 days/week in office. Some travel may be required worker will be required to drive their personal vehicle with mileage reimbursed.
* Provides engineering/technical expertise and guidance in the identification analysis and resolution of routine problems in area of expertise.
* Assists in the accomplishment of business goals and objectives through effective planning organizing estimating scheduling and monitoring of work activities under the guidance of higher-level employees.
* Prepares thorough and accurate technical reports correspondence documentation calculations and sketches associated with the resolution of routine technical problems.
* Conducts basic engineering studies requiring little evaluation or ingenuity.
* Possesses knowledge of fundamental concepts practices and procedures.
* Develops positive working relationships to effectively coordinate work activities. Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills. Maintains accurate records and files.
* Supports the companys goals and represents the company positively and professionally.
* They effectively apply fundamental concepts and procedures to work that is fairly complex and varied.
Summary of desired experience: Knowledge of wiring diagrams and schematics. Diagrams and schematics associated with DER site equipment are a plus. (relays inverters UPS systems etc.)
- Familiarity with testing and commissioning of protective circuits using Omicron and Doble test sets
- Analyses and reporting of fault responses and breaker operations
- Experience with hands-on troubleshooting and evaluation of equipment failures to determine root-cause and necessary resolution actions
- Familiarity with microprocessor-based relaying
- Familiarity with relay protection schemes and relay logic
- Experience with relay settings calculations for protective relays associated with Inverter Based Resources
- Interpret and develop relay logic with microprocessor-based relays A Bachelors in Engineering and a PE is required for this role. Masters degree is not required but preferred.
10-15 years discipline experience and a unique SME skill
