Central Region
Coffeewood Correctional Center Mitchells VA
Eastern Region
Greensville Correctional Center Jarrett VA

Provide physical therapy services to patient inmates. Services include outpatient
orthopedics as well as Skilled Nursing/Rehabilitation/Acute care. Provide physical therapy evaluations progress notes updated plans of care and discharges. Collaborate with other Physical Therapy (PT) clinic team members and medical staff to improve patient care. Assist in Physical Therapy Quality Improvement Measures and Data Collections. Assignments to other duties or locations may be necessary to meet the clinical and administrative needs of the Department.

This is a wage position limited to working no more than 1500 hours per agency during the 12-month period of May 1 April 30 regardless of the hire date. The wage employment period resets on May 1 of the following year. All wage employees are limited to working no more than 29 hours per week on average over the 12-month period. This wage position offers no state benefits.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduate from accredited Physical therapy Program

Current Physical Therapy license in Virginia

Experience evaluating and treating patients with various acute and chronic orthopedic dysfunctional

Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to play an active role collaborating with other medical professionals to provide optimum care

Additional Considerations

Possesses leadership skills

Experience in patient centered program development within rehabilitation setting

Clinical experience in multiple settings such as outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation skilled nursing or acute facilities
