  • interactive investor the UKs second largest direct-to-consumer investment platform enables individuals in the UK to plan save and invest in the way that works for them.

  • Our Adviser business provides financial planning solutions and technology for UK financial advisers enabling them to create value for their customers.

  • Our investments business is a specialist asset manager that focuses on areas where we have both strength and scale to capitalise on the key themes shaping the market through either public markets or alternative asset classes.

About the Department

Aberdeens Enterprise Services organisation is responsible for the delivery of live technology services to the business. Within this the global Service Management team ensures operational excellence and resilience across our technology estate. A newly created Applications Command Centre will sit within this team focused on managing BAU operations and supporting major incident activity.

About the Role

This role will lead the daily operations of the Applications Command Centre manage outsourced teams and ensure high-quality service delivery. Youll be responsible for performance oversight reporting and driving improvement initiatives. Youll also support the Major Incident Management (MIM) function providing assurance during critical periods and participating in the on-call rota.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day performance of the Applications Command Centre

  • Review and challenge weekly/monthly performance reporting

  • Provide guidance during high-traffic periods

  • Accept and retire shift-left activities from Applications SMEs

  • Identify and address performance issues

  • Lead improvement initiatives and annual audit processes

  • Chair daily stand-up calls

  • Engage in Major Incident Management duties across the incident lifecycle

  • Participate in 24/7 on-call coverage

About the Candidate

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Experience in Service Desk Event Management or Command Centre environments

  • Strong stakeholder management skills across varied priorities

  • Ability to operate in complex IT environments

  • Proficiency in reporting and MS Office tools

  • Understanding of enterprise IT delivery infrastructure

  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

  • Strong customer service ethos and collaborative mindset

  • ITIL v3 or v4 Foundation certification
