We are looking for an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to join and lead our Identity and Access Management Product Team. This is a hybrid role reporting in the San Jose CA office 3 days a week. Reporting to the Senior Director Software Engineering youll be responsible for:

• Leading a team of 810 software engineers ensuring high-quality delivery system reliability and effective performance management and career development
• Championing the product vision representing the company product and team to internal and external stakeholders
• Partnering with product management to build and execute roadmaps; proactively identifying process and product gaps and drive changes for improved outcomes
• Architecting and implementing cloud-native solutions optimized for reliability availability scalability and security
• Collaborating cross-functionally to meet requirements and expedite delivery; planning budgets and resources for cloud services including hardware needs based on metrics and cost

What We Are Looking For (Minimum Qualifications):

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science with 15 years in technical roles across development enterprise services networking and security in both startups and large organizations
• Experience building control plane systems on globally distributed databases; strong understanding of IAM and authentication/authorization (SAML OAuth LDAP SCIM)
• Familiarity with integrated software systems using distributed message queues and caches (RabbitMQ Kafka; Redis Memcached)
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and replication/synchronization protocols (e.g. Paxos variants) and experience with databases like DynamoDB Cassandra and Google Spanner
• Familiarity with AWS Azure and GCP; experience bootstrapping cloud resources and building service meshes

• Proven track record of ownership and delivering high-quality results predictably
• Experience with Kubernetes for orchestrating containerized applications and managing a microservices architecture
