Role Description
As a Customer Stories Production & Social Media Amplification Manager you will be an integral part of shaping and scaling the Why Google Cloud narrative through the authentic voice of our customers. This multifaceted position blends rigorous project management sharp editorial oversight and strategic social media programming. You will not only coordinate complex content pipelines but also build and manage scalable programs that empower our teams to amplify customer stories effectively by adapting storytelling models for various formats and channels.
Collaborating closely with Customer References Brand Social Media and Product Marketing you will translate intricate technical concepts into clear human-centric narratives. The ideal candidate is a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a strong editorial sense proven experience in managing content programs from conception to distribution strong social media prowess and the ability to operate as a key consultant in a past-paced cross-functional environment.Responsibilities
Operational and Editorial assistant for the flagship Transform Studio customer video program- Pre-Production: Manage all customer-facing logistics including scheduling strategic outreach and in-depth preparation calls. Develop and refine comprehensive interview briefs in collaboration with marketing leads to align with strategic messaging goals and ensure a seamless experience for our customers.
- Editorial Oversight: Act as the Editorial Assistant for the studio - participating in the narrative development process reviewing cuts for clarity and impact and ensuring the final product accurately reflects the customers story and aligns with Google Clouds brand voice.
- Quality Assurance: Own the comprehensive review and feedback process for content produced by sister studios serving as a key stakeholder to maintain a unified standard of excellence and narrative consistency across all storytelling initiatives.
- Social Media Cutdowns: Create 30-second cutdowns of key New Way Now stories for paid social media.
- Distribution: Work in partnership with the social media and YouTube team to get all videos published to YouTube LinkedIn X and Facebook. Manage the New Way Now playlist strategy as well as all social media copy and assets.
- Operate smaller-scale Transform Studio activations at regional events customer summits and third-party conferences adapting the production model to capture a diverse and steady cadence of customer voices year-round.
Customer Story Social Media Program:- Amplify customer content across all Google Cloud social channels in a platform-optimized manner.
- Direct the multi-format social media plan for customer stories at major industry events executing on-the-ground interviews creating post-event recap videos and adapting keynote content into long-tail platform-optimized social assets.
- Collaborate with creative agencies to design and produce a suite of scalable social media templates that ensure brand consistency and drive engagement.
- Serve as the primary social media consultant and enablement partner for the North American Customer Reference Management team providing strategic guidance and resources to help them ideate and create effective social content.
- Author and maintain a comprehensive social media playbook leveraging data and platform-specific insights to educate internal stakeholders on content best practices.
Internal Alignment:- Craft and distribute compelling monthly newsletters designed for the broader Marketing organization and executive leadership.
- Synthesize key business priorities program updates and recent customer wins into powerful narratives that foster organizational alignment celebrate successes and promote informed strategic decision-making across teams.
Required Skillset for the Position
