Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented AutoCAD Designer to join our team in Roseville CA. This is a long-term career opportunity focused on design and project management for automatic fire sprinkler systems in commercial tenant improvement and new construction projects.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in AutoCAD drafting strong communication skills and a solid understanding of fire sprinkler system design. You will collaborate closely with general contractors project managers and other trades to ensure each project meets quality safety and code compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design automatic fire sprinkler systems using AutoCAD for commercial projects
- Coordinate with general contractors engineers and other trades to gather design requirements
- Create detailed plans layouts and material lists for installation
- Perform hydraulic calculations to ensure system efficiency and compliance
- Prepare and maintain submittals permits and project documentation
- Support internal teams with accurate project handoffs and updates
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a commercial fire sprinkler designer
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Bluebeam
- Ability to perform hydraulic calculations
- Strong communication multitasking and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Preferred Experience:
- Background in new construction or tenant improvement projects
