We are currently seeking an innovative and analytical Learning & Development (L&D) Program Manager who will be responsible for shaping the onboarding training and career development of the Americas (AMER) CPI team. The ideal candidate should be able to work in a cross functional fast-paced environment; has training development program management and communication skills.
As the AMER CPI L&D Program Manager you will be responsible for creation and execution of an accelerated roadmap to support AMER regions. Successful candidates are collaborators who work closely with cross-functional teams to effectively prioritize and deploy training programs based on team and business need. The role demands excellent verbal and written communication skills strong presentation skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software.

Maintains records of training and development activities attendance results of tests and assessments and retraining requirements. Leads with a data-focused approach to evaluate current technical team skill sets existing training resource quality and new training resources to continually raise the bar for each team role at each level. Conduct skill assessments of team members - directly and in partnership with team managers - to develop targeted training curriculums for all CPI team roles. Develops and implements recorded training and experiential training on technical systems and specialty components. Partners with internal Data Center (DC) Operations customers to develop training that aligns with customer needs. Supports weekly onboarding and new hire equipment setup calls and related support. Writes narratives to communicate training mental model and changes needed to be made to it.

Critical Projects Implementation (CPI) is a project management and execution team that operates within operational data center spaces as an entity of Data Center Capacity Delivery (DCCD). Our team is tasked with critical infrastructure improvement projects to optimize capacity critical power and cooling at deployed sites globally that exceed the scope of regular preventative maintenance and engineering operations. Projects also include Reworks and Conversions (RWK/CON) Infills (INF) Upgrades (UPG) and Data Center Capital Improvement (DCCI) projects. Over 90% of CPI work is conducted around above adjacent or under operational racks and supporting equipment in the data center spaces. The team is established in three primary regions (AMER APJC and EMEA). Each region includes regional managers that are supported directly by cluster managers and project larger regions area managers are responsible for oversight of specific availability zones (AZs) to support the project managers. CPI project managers work at the data centers and have the direct responsibility of managing yellow badge labor force to conduct work. The project managers relay consistent communication about safety security availability and schedules to project stakeholders.

- 7 years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy end to end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources Training and Development or related field
- 5 years of experience developing and delivering technical training
- 5 years of driving process improvements experience
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Certification in training and development from the Association for Talent Development (ATD) International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI) SHRM or similar organization.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $215100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
