The JM Family College Internship Program is designed to create an opportunity for college students to have meaningful work experiences that tie to their programs of study. As part of this program you will actively contribute to your teams success learn about JM Familys companies and culture while obtaining new skills through learning opportunities networking events and much more.
The ideal candidate will be available to work full-time during the Summer Internship Program (May 26th 2026 - July 31st 2026).
Interns will engage in meaningful work and gain insights into specific projects or tasks providing hands-on experience and contributing to various department initiatives. They will learn about JM Familys culture including our core values: Consideration Cooperation Communication Innovation and Accountability. These core values are part of our keys to success and the skills that embody these values are what drive our success as an organization.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the review and approval of Retention Marketing messaging (social paid search email and direct mail)
- Ongoing QA of marketing websites SET data on and display banners
- Research of innovative marketing channels/tactics/strategies
- Review and Analysis of incoming reporting from internal & external partners
- Review of competitive landscape (multi-channel inclusive of social media & overlap with national)
- Support during July Sales Event on-campus promotion The Big One/El Gigante and the Big One Tire Event
- Content contributions to the Hub and to the Marketing Department TV
- Departmental process documentation; test functionality of each documented process
- Work requires close collaboration with team members in Marketing and other departments and outside ad agencies as well as interaction with senior organizational leadership to have messages proofed approved and appropriately distributed.
Qualifications:
- This is a full-time hybrid position. Minimum of 3 days in the office.
- Actively enrolled in a bachelors or graduate degree-seeking program at an accredited college or university with a focus in Marketing or Communications (qualified candidates actively enrolled for a degree in a related field will also be considered) and must have completed at least one semester of classes
- Relevant completed coursework including Digital Marketing or similar
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook. Power BI proficiency preferred
- Must possess strong verbal written and interpersonal communication skills with adeptness in dealing with individuals at all levels inside and outside the organization
- Must be able to act as liaison between agencies/vendors to accomplish objectives
- Must be self-motivated and possess strong problem-solving ability
- Must possess strong organization time management communication presentation and follow-up skills
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment multitasking and managing often-changing priorities
