Job Summary
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Database Reliability Engineer (DBRE / DBA) with deep expertise in MariaDB/MySQL and a solid understanding of PostgreSQL.
Your mission will be to ensure our databases are reliable performant and resilient especially when it comes to replication troubleshooting and tackling complex performance challenges.
In addition to being our database specialist youll have the opportunity to grow into a DevOps role. If you dont yet have strong DevOps experience thats perfectly fine well provide hands-on training mentoring and support. Over time youll contribute to infrastructure automation CI/CD and cloud operations alongside our DevOps engineers.

- Diagnose and resolve complex database issues including replication failures and performance bottlenecks.
- Optimize queries indexes and schema designs for reliability and scalability.
- Ensure robust backup recovery and security strategies are in place.
- Collaborate with developers to improve database usage patterns and performance.
- Manage and monitor databases in cloud environments (Azure AWS).
- Gradually take on DevOps responsibilities including:
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform Ansible)
- CI/CD pipelines and automation
- Cloud resource provisioning and maintenance
Prerequisites
Requirements
- Senior-level expertise with MariaDB/MySQL (administration performance tuning replication).
- Experience troubleshooting replication diagnosing query performance and optimizing configurations.
- Solid understanding of database design indexing and scaling strategies.
- Hands-on experience managing production environments with high reliability requirements.
- Familiarity with Azure and/or AWS.
- English level B1 or higher (comfortable collaborating in an international team).
Experiences
Nice to Have
- Working knowledge of PostgreSQL (operations tuning replication).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform Ansible).
- Scripting ability (Bash Python).
- Previous DevOps or SRE experience.
