The JM Family College Internship Program is designed to create an opportunity for college students to have meaningful work experiences that tie to their programs of study. As part of this program you will actively contribute to your teams success learn about JM Familys companies and culture while obtaining new skills through learning opportunities networking events and much more.
The ideal candidate will be available to work full-time during the Summer Internship Program (May 26th 2026 - July 31st 2026).
Interns will engage in meaningful work and gain insights into specific projects or tasks providing hands-on experience and contributing to various department initiatives. They will learn about JM Familys culture including our core values: Consideration Cooperation Communication Innovation and Accountability. These core values are part of our keys to success and the skills that embody these values are what drive our success as an organization.
This internship will support the Corporate Development team whose mission is to grow JM Familys leadership in auto and beyond through acquisitions investments and strategic partnerships.
Your role will encompass internal operations market research financial analysis and internal and external communication in a fast-paced collaborative environment. This internship will provide opportunities for personal and professional development strengthening the companys purpose-driven and results-oriented culture while honoring our core values.
Responsibilities:
- Participate and contribute as an active member of the JM Familys Intern Program team.
- Assist the Corporate Development team to execute on its key priorities and produce supporting deliverables across deal execution business unit strategic support business development activities and department operations.
- Deal Support: help evaluate deal opportunities coordinate due diligence perform financial analysis and modeling and synthesize findings into executiveready deliverables.
- Strategic Projects: analyze sectors of interest and key trends and partner with business units or portfolio companies on strategic initiatives.
- Operations: maintain pipeline trackers meeting notes and templates; contribute to playbooks and process improvements.
- Develop strong relationships with functional groups across the enterprise to support Corporate Developments growth initiatives.
- Create prepare and maintain stakeholder materials leveraging the Microsoft suite of products (primarily Word Excel and PowerPoint).
- Provide support on various projects related to Corporate Development and other internal programs ensuring they are executed successfully.
- Assist with other Corporate Development team tasks and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Our ideal candidate will be available to work on-site at our Deerfield Beach FL offices for our 10-week summer program.
- Actively enrolled in a Bachelors (rising junior/senior) degree-seeking program at an accredited college or university with a focus in Finance Economics Accounting Engineering or related field.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to support cross-functional communications with a wide variety of individuals including external and internal partners.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- High degree of skills in the Microsoft suite of products.
- Strong ability to take initiative and work independently on projects/assignments.
- Basic understanding of financial statements.
- High level of integrity is required due to the confidential nature of Corporate Development work.
