As a Licensing and Subscription Librarian you will:

  • Investigate the acquisition of new information resources including conducting trials evaluating content and liaising with stakeholders on teaching learning and research requirements
  • Complete acquisition and renewal workflows including price negotiation with vendors content and license evaluation and collation of documentation for evaluation
  • Adhere to critical timeframes for procurement activities including license expiration dates and CAUL renewal deadlines to ensure uninterrupted access to electronic resources

To be successful youll have:

  • Degree and/or postgraduate qualifications in library and information science conferring eligibility for Associate membership of the Australian Library and Information Association or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or training
  • Demonstrated experience in information resource procurement processes preferably in the higher education sector
  • Demonstrated knowledge/experience in integrated library management systems
  • Experience in using a variety of software applications and library operating systems
