Essential Responsibilities
Manage an overall production facility in order to reach defined targets in safety quality delivery and cost. Ensure continuous business improvement according to benchmarks and standards. Team management of salaried employees.
Drive a culture that ensures outstanding compliance and adherence to product quality in all areas for the Quality Management System in GEHC. Ensure that the organizational design functional expertise and manufacturing process experience of the team is positioned for excellence.
Manages a team with senior and front-line professionals with deep domain operational and technical expertise as well as others. Requires specialized knowledge within the function. Influence the development of strategy for the area of responsibility including control of resources and influences policy formulation.
Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operational product management manufacturing technology or engineering. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.
Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products processes or services. Stays informed of industry trends that may inform work.
May lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements risk and/or complexity. Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others options on particular topics. May guide others to consider a different point of view.
Quality Specific Goals
Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual Quality Management System Quality Management Policy Quality Goals and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required
Knowledge and understanding of production process Work Instructions and operates within them to ensure that a device conforms to its specifications
Ensures the creation of accurate complete and timely records and DHRs
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college
7 years experience with proven leadership in operations or supply chain engineering logistics/distribution
Lean proficient with demonstrated ability to apply tools and process rigor
Proven business/financial acumen including demonstrated ability to motivate influence solve complex problems and drive change at all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated leadership energizing global teams and global project management
Proven ability to drive and manage change initiatives in a matrix environment
Ability to successfully motivate and maintain high moral employee involvement safety and teamwork
Desired Characteristics
MBA or masters degree
Proven mentoring and coaching abilities demonstrated ability to motivate & inspire others
